H.M Quackenbush Model ''Safety Cartridge'', 22 CAL, MFG: 1908-20, SN: NONE, Swing Gate Single Shot Rifle, 22'' round barrel. The Safety Cartridge rifle started production in 1896, but a wood forearm was added in 1908. The walnut straight grip wood stocks are excellent & sturdy. The stock has been lightly sanded & nicely refinished, displaying some minor contusions & a small 1'' crack at the tip of the forearm. The original metal blue finished is toned to a dark plum/brown. The swing gate is case-hardened & is also toned brown with some visible colors underneath. Some light pitting or surface abrasions. Bore is excellent & bright. Barrel is fitted with rear fixed sight with adjustable vertical screw & small front blade sight. Smooth metal buttplate. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 200 to 400
