The Hamilton Rifle Co. Model 27, 22 CAL (S. & L.), MFG: 1906, SN: NONE, Single Shot, Tip-up Break Action Rifle, 14 7/8'' round barrel. 29 1/2'' overall length. The flat board, straight grip, walnut stained birch stocks are good. They carry the original finish which is thinning or flaking from use. The stocks also display a variety of scratches, dings & edge wear. Original metal blue finish is toning brown, with 30% coverage on barrel & 50% on receiver, both with speckled rust & some light pitting. Steel rolled barrel over brass liner bore is fair. 6 groove bore with 1 turn in 15''. Blade front & early adjustable rear sight combination. Previous owner initials scratched into right side of stock. Trigger guard held by a nail & stock retention screw is a replacement. Forearm is a bit loose. Correctly has no buttplate.
