C.J Hamilton & Sons Model 35, 22 CAL, MFG:1915-1918, SN: NONE, Single Shot Tip-Up Rifle, 15 3/4'' round barrel. 31'' overall length. Similar action to the model 31, except the 35 has a longer heavier frame. This model is often called the ''Boy's Military'' rifle because it was fitted with an extra long forend stock with barrel band, sling swivels, leather sling, & a stamped out steel bayonet. Unfortunately, the bayonet is no longer present. The original straight grip wood stocks are excellent & solid, with very few tiny contusions or surface marks. The metal blue finish is 85% barrel, 80% receiver with majority of the loss coming from standing or speckled rust pitting. Steel rolled barrel, with original brass liner. The 12 groove bore with 1 turn in 16'', r.h. twist, is very good. Thumb lever locking mechanism located right of hammer. Comes with original swivels & the very rare leather strap. Thin metal buttplate. Factory front blade & open adjustable rear sights. In the 3.5 yrs they were sold, sales were considered disappointing & /only 11,800 were appx. made. This is a rare example in surprisingly high condition. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 600
