Sauer, Charles Daly Hammer Drilling, 12x12GA/38-55, MFG: N/A, SN:32881, Break Action Drilling, 30'' ''Fine Damascus'' barrels. The original round, checkered pistol grip wood stock is very good, having been previously broken at wrist & professionally/nicely repaired. Repair falls within the wrist checkering & is fairly well hidden. The stocks has numerous small scratches & contusions to the thinning finish. The damascus steel barrels have toned gun metal gray with faint details of the damascus pattern. The rifle bore is very good, with defined rifling. The shotgun barrels are also very good. Matted rib barrels, with flip-up rear sight & small blade front sight. The tang contains an ornate flip-up tang sight. The receiver & other metallic parts have border hand engraving. Side thumb break release, double set trigger, back action locks, has extractor & top of rifle barrel selector. Horn buttplate has a break repair. This engraved drilling firearm is a vey nice & eye appealing example. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 3000
