L.C Smith, Model: Ideal Grade, CAL: 12GA., MFG: 1902, SN: 127507, Hammerless break action shotgun, 2 3/4'' Chamber, 30'' barrels with a solid concave matted rib & single bead. Barrels are marked '' L.C.SMITH IDEAL GRADE -HUNTER ARMS CO. INC M'R'F'S' , FULTON N.Y U.S.A..''. The checkered & capped pistol grip stocks are very good, solid & original, but does have a tight crack above & below the sideplate on the left side & a 1'' tight hairline crack coming off the end of each sideplate. The lower corners of wrist against the receiver each have a minor fill repair. The stocks have been lightly sanded & carry a hand rubbed oil finish. There are a number of small dings, scratches & scuffs. The checkering has smoothed the points, but otherwise in very good condition. Attractive rippled grain, with ebony inlay in the forearm. The bottom of the boxlock is stamped with the SN ''R 127507''. The receiver & sidelocks have muted case-coloring over factory leaf pattern engraving. Barrels retain 60% of the original finish thinning & toning gray. Bores are excellent. Stock carries a ventilated red Hawkins rubber buttpad. Double triggers. The action is tight & mechanically excellent. A nice L.C.Smith shotgun. LOP 14 1/2'' DAC:1 1/2'', DAH:2 3/4'' Weight: 7.84 pounds. FFL or C&R Req - Value: 1000 to 2000
