L.C Smith, Marked: Field, CAL: 20GA., MFG 1920, SN: 31316, Double barrel, break action shotgun, Full Choke, 2 3/4'' Chamber, 28'' barrels with a solid matted rib & single bead. Barrels are marked ''L.C. SMITH - 20 GA - FIELD - FULTON. N.Y. U.S.A. .'' Early American made side by side. The checkered &capped pistol grip stocks are very good, solid & original. The stocks have been lightly sanded & refinished, with several small handling marks & contusions remaining. The checkering is still visible, but worn smooth. The bottom of the boxlock is stamped with ''FW'', SN 31316 & FIELD''. The barrels are mostly gun metal gray with a thin layer of added brown antiquing. The case-hardened receiver has some visible case-coloring in protected areas. Bores are excellent. Stock carries a ventilated red rubber ''HAWKINS'' buttpad. Double triggers. Single bead front sight.
