FABULOUS CUSTOM Browning Superposed EXHIBITION QUALITY, 12 Gauge, Engraved by famed engraver Angelo Bee & signed on both sides of the receiver ''A BEE''. MFG. Early 1930's. S/N: 2970. 27 1/2'' IMP.CYL/MOD choke. Solid matted rib barrels with steel bead sight. The checkered round knob pistol grip stocks are excellent, with wonderful grain. Finish is excellent, with very minor scratches or scuff. The fine line hand checkering is spectacular. The metal blue finish is 99%+ & excellent. Angelo's engravings are spectacular & are reminiscent of the Art Deco engravings of FN in the 1930's. The receiver has three highly detailed gold inlaid eagles, while the trigger guard carries an open winged dove. The rest of the receiver carries fine line engraved & gold inlaid patterns of the Art Deco style. The detail & quality is absolutely exhibition quality. Bores are excellent, Select barrel safety, Browning Superposed buttplate, Blued triggers. Comes with what appears to be original Browning Superposed wood shipping crate of the era, which currently carries the matching SN, but not accurate specifications.
