Ithaca Model 5E Trap, CAL: 12GA, MFG: 1957, SN: 401718T, Single Shot Break Action Shotgun, 2 3/4'', Choke: Full, 32'' round tapered barrel with ventilated rib, ivory mid-rib & front bead. Receiver features elaborate factory engraved floral scrolls with a pheasant in woodlands on left & a woodcock in woodlands on right. The deluxe checkered, capped flat pistol grip wood stocks are very good, displaying light contusions & surface blemishes. The stocks carry a combination of original & added finish, with dull rubbed areas, a few gummed up spot & crackling & finish in the checkering. The checkering is worn in areas of use. The metal blue finish is a reblue which rates 90% on the barrel & trigger guard, with some light pitting & buff marks under the current blue. The case-hardened receiver has faded case-colors, leaving the rest if receiver gun metal gray, The forend metal that meets the receiver has been blued over the original case-colors. Bore is excellent & bright. The buttstock carries a ventilated black recoil pad. Inlayed gold tone shield in stock engraved '' Edwin Sell''. Forearm carries a triangle ebony inlay.
