Colt Model 1851 Navy Revolver 3rd model, .36 Cal. Percussion, MFG. 1856, S/N: 34787, 7 1/2'' Octagon barrel. The top barrel flat is marked ''--ADDRESS. COL: COLT. LONDON, the left side of the frame is marked ''COLTS/PATENT''. The matching SN is marked on the frame, cylinder, trigger guard & back strap. The cylinder is roll engraved with the naval battle scene that is faintly visible. All metal surfaces have worn to a gun metal gray & a layer of brown patina developing, with some minor areas of speckled rust.. Fitted with a smooth one piece varnished walnut grips, which are very good with dark cocoa patina. Grips stamped with ''U.C K 33''. Black powder bore. The action appears to function properly. Clearly stamped on left side of barrel & on cylinder ''Crown V & Crown P''. A wonderful surviving Colt Model 1851 Navy 3rd model.* Antique No FFL Req. - Value: 1200 to 2000
