C. Sharps & Co. First Model (1A) four shot .22 rim fire pepperbox pistol, with 2.5'' barrels, Has rotating firing pin & slide out barrels. Earliest hammer knurling, made between 1859 and 1874. One source said there were 61,000 made during this production span. So with a serial number of 46060, it is post Civil War period. It is clean with just a bit of silver plating in protected areas - otherwise, bare metal. The gun is functional and the embossed gutta percha grips are in very good condition. Bores are lightly pitted from black powder, but rifling is prominent and reasonably bright. Highly Collectible. No FFL Req - Value: 600 to 1200
