Marked on top flat, '' SHILOH - SHARPS MODEL 1877 BIG TIMBER. MONTANA' - CALIBER .40 1 7/8''. Modern rifle in as new condition. The premium fiddleback striped grain American walnut hand rubbed oil finished stocks are excellent, without blemish. Schnabel style forend. The stock carries checkered steel widow's peak buttplate, with some speckled rust pitting. Front sight is a folding globe. No rear sight provision. Vernier Tang sight. The barrel & other metal surfaces are as new. The receiver & lever carry vivid case-colors. Bore is as new, possibly never fired. This is a fabulous custom ordered rifle, with beautiful case-colors.
