Winchester, Model 1892 Take-down, marked 44 WCF, MFG. 1907, SN: 392988, Lever Action Take-down Rifle, 24'' Round barrel, Full mag. The original stocks are very good & solid, with original finish having thinned from use & darkened from oils on top for protection. Stocks show minor handling blemishes & contusions, with a tiny chip at the top corner of right wrist against the receiver & tang. Metal has 80% coverage of factory finish on barrel starting to tone from blue to plum/brown, 90% on mag & 80% on receiver thinning to a plum patina in areas of loss, with light speckling. The case-hardened lever displays fading case-colors. Crisp barrel markings. Bore is excellent, bight & shiny with sharp lands & grooves. Factory adjustable buckhorn rear & screw locking front sights, Stock carries the original crescent metal buttplate. Tight smooth action & take-down.
