Winchester Model 1892, CAL: 38 WCF, MFG: 1892, SN: 2027, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Octagon barrel. Full mag. Early 1st yr. rifle. The original straight grip wood stocks are excellent & solid, carrying much of the original finish, with some darkening from use & oils. The stocks have a number of small to medium contusions & other small surface blemishes. The metal surfaces are covered with fine scratches from improper cleaning, with the barrel carrying 40% coverage of a brown patina, while the barrel & mag are mostly gun metal gray with a thin layer of browning patina. The left side of the receiver has 1/4'' initials ''TB'' scratched onto it. Bore is very good, with strong rifling & intermittent spotting. Rifle comes fitted with an adjustable rear & standard front sights. Smooth metal crescent buttplate. Smooth tight action. Comes with a Cody Winchester Records look-up sheet, confirming configuration & dates. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 750 to 1500
