Winchester Model 1895 Take-Down, Special Order CAL: .30 U.S. MOD 1903 (30-03), MFG: 1913, SN: 80475, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' round tapered barrel. The original straight grip wood stocks are excellent, carrying the majority of the original finish. Finish loss at the carry points & with additional small contusions. There are a couple of full length scratches along the side of the forearm. Excellent overall. The original metal blue finish is 80% on the barrel, 50% on the box mag & lever. The receiver has worn or faded to a mostly gun metal gray, with spotty brown areas of pitting found on the left side. The rifle carries an adjustable Lyman receiver peep sight, blank filled rear dovetail & upgraded large blade front sight. Carbine style metal buttplate. Takedown mechanism holds the rifle tightly together. Very good bore. Smooth tight action. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1200 to 2500
