Winchester, Model 71 Long Tang, marked 348 W.C.F., MFG. 1936, SN: 5816 (2nd Year Production), Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Round barrel, 2/3 tube mag holds 4 cartridges, Improved model 1886, with just 47,254 made & only 16,900 as Long tangs, which command premium values amongst collectors. This gun has been professionally restored. The flat pistol grip wood stocks are excellent, solid & original. The stocks carry the excellent finish, with few tiny scuffs. The metal blue finish is 98% on receiver, barrel & mag. Upgraded with the rare 100 & 200 yard adjustable breech bolt peep sight, with blank filled rear dovetail & front ramp hooded sight. Factory checkered metal buttplate. Excellent bore. Factory sling mounts. A rare Winchester in the most collectible caliber & with the desirable long tang, breech peep & fabulous condition.
