Marlin, Model 444, marked 444 Marlin Cal., MFG. 1970, SN: 70113558, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Round barrel, 4 Shot 1/2 mag., The factory straight grip Monte Carlo wood stocks are excellent & solid. The original finish is excellent, with a few scuffs, scratches or minor contusions. The original metal blue finish is 98% on the receiver, barrel & mag, with a few light speckles. The stock carries the original Marlin recoil pad. Fitted with a Redfield 4X scope, barrel carries flip-up rear & ramped front sights. Bore is excellent. Action is smooth & tight. Stock carries a Marlin 1870/1970 quarter sized gold toned 100 year medallion & a bullseye. Sling studs in stock & on forend barrel band. Gold trigger. These 100 yr rifles produced just the one year are fairly rare & sought amongst collectors. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
