Marlin, Model 1894 SPORTER, marked 44 REM-MAG. Cal., MFG. 1973, SN: 27082365, Lever Action Rifle, 22'' Round barrel, 6 shot 1/2 mag., The factory straight grip wood stocks are excellent & solid. The original hand rubbed oil finish is very good, with a few small scuffs, scratches & a single small contusion on the forend. The original metal blue finish is 97% on the receiver, barrel & mag. The stock carries the original crescent hard rubber buttplate. The receiver is fitted with a Williams adjustable peep sight, while barrel carries a blank filled rear dovetail & standard gold bead front sight. Bore is excellent. Action is smooth & tight. Bullseye & sling stud in stock. Only one year of production, with a rare 1398 produced. FFL Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
