Savage Model 1899, CAL: 303 SAV, MFG: 1913, SN: 133697, Lever Action Rifle, 20'' round barrel. The straight grip wood stocks are fair, having worn original finish. The wood has numerous small nicks, dings & stains, with what appears to be added oils. The stock is missing the buttplate, while the forearm is missing the set screw to hold it in place. The metal blue finish on the barrel & receiver is a mix of original blue & applied blue giving it a spotty gray green appearance. Bore is good, with roughness & strong rifling. The barrel holds a repaired folding leaf rear sight & blade front sight. Has two vacant holes on the tang from a previous tang sight. A good potential restoration project.
