J. Stevens A & T Co Model 44, CAL: 25 RF, MFG: 1896-1933, SN: 32723, Lever Action Rifle, 26'' half octagon, half round barrel. The original straight grip wood stocks are very good, displaying thinning original finish with added oils. Forend has a schnabel tip & beavertail sides. There are several nicks, dings & contusions throughout the stock & forearm, with some dark spotting. The metal blue finish on barrel has worn to a spotty blue & gray finish, with edge wear toning brown & lots of speckling & pitted rust. The case-hardened receiver & lever has toned gray, with a thin layer of brown patina. Bore is good, with roughness. Barrel carries a replaced adjustable rear sight, missing elevator & blade front sight. Crescent metal buttplate. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 500
