Wichita Engineering & Supply Inc., Model Wichita Classic, CAL: 223 REM, MFG: 1977 SN: 26, Bolt Action Rifle, 22'' octagon barrel. Jeweled bolt. Wichita Arms was formed in 1976 to begin production of their ''Classic'' line of rifles. Wichita Arms has always been closely associated with Bench Rest & Silhouette shooting where accuracy is the prime directive. These rifles were built one at a time & the quality shows. Fit & finish are superb. The Classic was manufactured between 1976 & late 1990's with less than 1000 rifles being built. This rifle, serial number 26, was manufactured in about 1977 according to Wichita Arms. The original checkered, cheeked, capped pistol grip wood stock is excellent displaying virtually no defects. The metal blue finish rates 98% overall with one small blemish on the top of the barrel. Bore is excellent with defined rifling. Rifle fitted with Burris scope mount & rings, with no open sight provisions. Buttstock carries an aging & cracking black recoil pad. A nicely built rifle. FFL Req. - Value: 1500 to 2500
