U.S Springfield, Model Sporterized 1898, CAL: 30-40 KRAG, MFG: 1903, SN: 440860, Bolt Action Rifle, 30'' round barrel. The modified, sanded & re-finished straight grip wood stock is very good & solid, with finger groove forend & front barrel band. Stock carries a number of finish flaws & several small nicks & ding. The metal blue finish has toned mostly gray with about 50% coverage. Bore is very good, worn a bit, but has defined rifling. The rifle carries a Weaver Model 330 scope, open holes in the barrel from a once present rear sight & a bladeless front sight mount. The buttstock carries a smooth metal trapdoor buttplate & sling loops. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 200 to 400
