Remington Model No.1 1/2 Sporting Rifle, CAL: 38 RF, MFG: 1888-97 SN: 3871, Rolling Block Single Shot Rifle, 30 1/2'' octagon barrel. The original straight grip wood stocks are excellent, with the schnabel forearm having an ebony inlay at the tip. The stock carry the original finish under an added protective coat of finish, with a few small nicks & dings. The metal blue finish on the barrel rates 80% toning to a light brown patina in areas of loss. The receiver is case-hardened & remnants of color can be seen in protected areas on an otherwise gun metal gray receiver. Bore is very good. Buttstock holds a smooth crescent metal buttplate. The rifle carries a large disc vernier tang peep sight, an adjustable buckhorn rear & standard front sights. NO FFL Req - Value: 1000 to 2000
