Remington, Model 8, .30 REM, MFG. 1907, SN:6729, Semi-Auto Rifle, Take-down, 22'' barrel. Early second year gun with the 30-30 REM barrel marking. The original factory straight grip wood stocks are solid & good, carrying the thinned remains of the factory finish. The forearm has a 1 1/2'' corner missing from the back edge against the receiver, while the balance of the wood carries several small handling marks. The original metal finish has worn to 30% remaining with the balance toning to a spotty thin gray/brown patina. There is areas of speckling & light rust pitting. Original black plastic buttplate. The rear sight is a modified replacement & front is a gold bead Marbles Sheared sight. Bore is good. A well used, but loved, mostly original rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 250 to 500
