Winchester, Model 75 TARGET, Marked .22 LONG RIFLE Cal., MFG. 1939, SN:7733, 5 Shot Removable Box Mag Bolt Rifle, 22'' round barrel. The consignor's notes indicates this rifle was originally purchased from the original owner who used it as a trials rifle for the 1940 Olympics which were cancelled due to WWII. The original factory wood is very good, carrying much of the original factory finish darkened from use & oils. There are numerous small scuffs, scratches & contusions. The original metal blue finish is 85%, with some rust speckling. Bore is excellent. Barrel has mounted on blocks a R.A. Litschert Model B 10X power target scope with screw on caps. The receiver carries the mounting block from the missing receiver sight, as well as two plugged holes & two screw filled holes. The barrel has 6 extra screw filled holes & a model 99A hooded front sight. Factory checkered metal buttplate. Factory sling swivels. This rifle has the original removable box mag.
