Savage Model ''Sporter'' (23A), CAL: 22 L.R, MFG: 1923-33, SN: 98922, Bolt Action Rifle, 23'' round barrel. The original flat pistol grip wood stock is very good & solid, after the lower stock being professionally reshaped, lightly sanded & refinished all as a repair to a small toe chip. The stock displays few contusions or scuffs. The barrel has had three holes filled in front of the rear sight & lost the metal blue finish in the area. The rest of the barrel, receiver & trigger guard carry a worn to a plum/brown tone. Bore is excellent. The buttstock carries a replaced Savage metal buttplate, which fits a bit proud to the wood. The receiver carries a Weaver V22 scope, while barrel is fitted with factory adjustable rear & blade front sight. Replaced sling studs. Original & correctly marked mag. Appears mechanically sound.
