Savage Model ''Sporter'' 23AA, CAL: 22 L.R, MFG: 1933-42, SN: 134057, Bolt Action Rifle, 23'' round barrel. The model 23AA was an upgrade of the 23A & was supposed to have a checkered stock. While this rifle is stamped 23AA, it carries a none checkered stock. The original flat pistol grip wood stock is excellent, displaying a few minor scrapes, nicks & dings. The metal blue finish is 80%, toning from blue to gray. Trigger guard & floor plate have rust speckling & pitting. Bore is very good. The buttstock carries the original Savage metal buttplate. The barrel is fitted with replaced adjustable rear sight & blade front sight. Receiver has two screw filled holes for possible scope mounts. Original & correctly marked mag. Sling swivels. Appears mechanically sound. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 250 to 500
