Remington, Model 4, .22 S. L. or LR., MFG: 1924-1933, SN: 344526, 22 1/2'' round barrel, Rolling block single shot rifle. The model 4 was produced from 1890 to 1933 in several variation & evolutions. The model 4 began production in 1890 as a screw in fixed barrel, but it was change to a takedown with lever in 1902 until 1924 when it was changed again to a take-down screw. This rifle with the take-down screw was produced from 1924 to 33. The straight grip wood stocks are fair & solid, having added oils over original finish & with numerous small marks, scratches & contusions. The forearm has a wood chip on the front tip & a fill repair on the bottom against the receiver. A couple of 1/2'' initials are faintly scratched into the stock. The original metal blue finish has toned gray/brown on barrel. The receiver has toned brown. Bore is very good, still bright with defined rifling. Barrel carries an updated adjustable rear & standard front sights. The stock carries a smooth metal Remington buttplate. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 100 to 200
