J. Stevens A. & T. Company, Model 101 Smoothbore, 44 Shot Cal., MFG:1914-20, SN: 239, Lever Action Opening Rifle, The round barrel has been cut-down to 19 5/16''. The walnut stocks are good & solid, sanded & refinished, The stock has a chip at the wrist & several small nicks & dings. The barrel has toned mostly brown, with a mix of added cold blue. The case-hardened receiver has faded to mostly gun metal gray with a thin layer of browning patina. Bore is very good. Homemade square block front sight. Metal buttplate. Unique smoothbore rifle.
