J. Stevens Arms Co. Model 414 Armory, marked .22-LR Cal., MFG: 1912-32, SN: 73463, Falling Block, Single Shot Rifle, 26'' Heavy round barrel. The wood stocks are very good & solid, although the wide target style forearm has been cut down from its nearly full barrel length. The buttstock has a 3'' toe repair with glued cracks on both sides of the toe. The buttstock has been lightly sanded & refinished. The finishes have multiple scratches, nicks & dings. The metal blue finish on the barrel is retained at 95%, with some blemishes & speckling. The receiver is case-hardened & displays nice case-colors amongst light fine line decorative engraving. On right side of receiver is engraved a wolf head, hunter, hunting dogs, two deer & a mountain forest background. On the left is scroll work, floral, trademark & the U.S. National Eagle with shield. Bore is excellent with defined rifling. The original Lyman receiver sight has been replaced with an adjustable large disk aperture Redfield sight & front globe sight. Receiver & barrel have 4 screw filled holes for possible scope block mounting. Crescent metal buttplate. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 400 to 800
