The Hamilton Rifle Co. Model 27, 22 CAL (S. & L.), MFG: 1908-30, SN: NONE, Single Shot, Tip-up Break Action Rifle, 16'' round barrel. 30 1/2'' overall length. The flat board, straight grip, walnut stained birch stocks are very good. They carry the original finish which is thinning or flaking from use. The stocks also display a variety of scratches, dings & edge wear, especially to the buttend. Original metal blue finish is 80% on barrel & receiver, with spots of loss toning brown & having speckled rust & some light pitting. Steel rolled barrel over brass liner bore is clean, but rough & poor. 12 groove bore with 1 turn in 16''. Blade front & missing rear sight. ''S'' shaped trigger guard missing retention screw in stock. Is a bit loose as it is also missing the right side retention screw. Buttstock carries no buttplate & never did. Over 250,000 produced.
