C.J Hamilton & Sons Model 51, 22 CAL S. L. & L.R, MFG: 1935-1941, SN: NONE, Bolt Action Rifle, 20'' round tapered barrel. 35 1/2'' overall length. Hamilton's first conventional bolt action type rifle with a solid steel barrel that screwed into the frame. Also, their first rifle to be marked for the long rifle caliber. The flat board type & flat pistol grip wood stock is very good & solid despite a grain crack at the wrist that is tightly bound by black tape. The stock has a few small contusions or surface marks. The metal blue finish has toned to mix of blue to light brown & speckles of rust. The 6 groove bore with 1 turn in 20'' is very good. The barrel fitted with an adjustable rear sight & a replaced Marbles No. 2 front sight. Correctly carries no buttplate. Has an open threaded hole at the rear of the receiver. Likely a quality shooter. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 100 to 300
