Description

Earl Krupp Drilling, CAL: 16GA/ 9.7x 72R, MFG: 1891-1945, SN: 3217, Break Action Shotgun/Rifle, Choke: F/F/Rifled, 26 3/4'' barrels with solid, matted rib. The checkered, cheeked & capped pistol grip wood stocks are original, but rate poor. The buttstock needs to be repaired or more likely replaced, as having been severely broken at the wrist & a partial amateur repair attempted. The rest of the wood is fair, with numerous contusions, scrapes & nicks. The receiver, break lever, upper tang, trigger guard, cartridge holder & forearm all display a excellent floral/ornamental hand engraving. The receiver exhibits two pheasants on the left side & fox on the right surrounded by the floral scroll pattern. The metal blue finish on the barrels rates 85%, with areas of fading & light spotting. The receiver is a muted coin silver finish. Shotgun bores are very good & bright. The rifle bore is good, dark but with strong rifling. The solid, matted rib holds a flip-up rear sight & blade front sight. The belly of the buttstock carries an ornately engraved, hinged trapdoor four round cartridge storage, with one sample round already in place. Serrated buttplate. Double triggers, with selector on the left side of the wrist. Single sling loop on barrel. LOP: 14 1/8'', DAH: 2 1/8'', DAC: 1 3/8''. This was once a proud & fine handcrafted firearm which deserves another life after being properly & fully restored. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 200 to 1000
