F.A Loomis Model 1XL No. 30. CAL: 12GA, MFG: Antique, SN: 66409, Break Action SxS Shotgun. Choke: IC+/IC+ spread from age & use. 30'' laminated steel barrels. The round pistol grip wood stocks are fair, after multiple crack repairs at wrist & butt. Brass plates & screws reside on both sides of wrist to add support to the wrist repair. Stocks were sanded but display contusions, nicks & scratches. Ebony tip on the checkered forend. Barrel finish has worn to a spotty gun metal gray with areas of brown patina. Barrels have separated over time & use necessitating a non-professional solder repair under the forearm. The receiver has a nice accent hand engraving which has slightly smoothed with age. Bores are fair, with roughness. Solid, matted rib holds a single front bead. Buttstock carries a checkered buttplate. The double triggers & hammers appear to function correctly.
