Parker Bros Double, CAL: 16 GA/ with 32-40 rifle barrel insert, MFG: 1898, SN: 88270, Break Action SxS Shotgun/Rifle, Choke: F/Rifled, 28'' twisted steel barrels. The receiver, trigger guard, break lever & forearm all have a light border & accent engraving with some engraving thinning from handling & age. The checkered & capped pistol grip wood stocks are very good, with multiple small surface scrapes, nicks & dings. Original wood finish thinning & worn from use. The twisted steel pattern on the barrels is still very prominent with some minor contusions throughout the barrels. The color on the case-hardened receiver has faded to a semi-even gun metal grey. The bores are very good with light spotting. The shotgun has been fitted with an adjustable rear sight & folding globe front sight. Buttstock holds an original Parker black checkered buttplate. LOP: 14'', DAH: 2 1/2'', DAC: 1 3/4''. An interesting combination, but ready for the combined hunt. Antique, NO FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
