H. Pieper Model ''Cape Gun'', CAL: 16GA/8mm, MFG: 1900's, SN: 187502, Break Action Shotgun/Rifle, Choke: F, 26 3/4'' round barrels. The receiver, trigger guard & break lever have a small amount of accent engraving. The checkered, cheeked & capped pistol grip woods stocks are excellent, displaying only a couple small surface blemishes to the original finish. The metal blue finish on the barrels rate 70%, with areas of thinning from use toning to a brown patina. The colors on case-hardened receiver have faded over time & receiver now appears gun metal gray with a thin developing layer of browning patina. The smoothbore/rifle bore are both very good, show light use & very small dent to shotgun barrel. The barrel carries a rear flip-up sight & small blade front sight. Buttstock carries a black checkered buttplate. Gun carries sling swivels & leather sling. Double triggers. Very nice overall appearance. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
