ENGRAVED Remington Model 11, ''D'' Grade, CAL: 12GA, MFG: 1913, SN: 138893, Semi-Auto Shotgun, Choke: F, 28'' barrel with matted rib. Professionally Restored, The receiver & 3'' of the barrel display wonderful ornamental, scroll or floral engravings. The deluxe, checkered, capped, pistol grip walnut stocks are excellent, as restored. The forearm is an excellent replacement which was selected for its grain & color match. The wood displays virtually no defects to the wood or finish. The stocks have fabulous grain. The stock carries a custom shop cap on the pistol grip & a silver oval inlay typically found on Expert (''E'' grade) guns. The professionally restored metal blue finish rates 95% overall on the barrel & receiver. The engravings have been lightly softened in areas during the preparations for bluing. The bore is excellent. The solid, matted rib holds a single front sight bead. Buttstock carries a ventilated red rubber recoil pad. LOP: 14 14/8'' overpad. A very nice example of an engraved custom shop shotgun.
