J Stevens A&T Co. Model ''Tip-Up'', CAL: 16 GA, MFG: 1870-90's, SN: 11394, Push Button Tip-Up Shotgun, Choke: F, 27 7/8'' barrel. Both sides of the receiver have been polished to the white & display well done engraving of a hare in a field setting, with a snipe on the bottom in a similar setting. Additional accent engraving found on the trigger guard, upper tang & buttplate. The straight grip wood stocks are excellent, as professionally refinished, with only a couple tiny scuffs. The metal blue finish on the barrel has toned to an even dark plum/brown patina, except in a couple of areas where the barrel has been cleaned. Bore is very good. The barrel holds a single front bead. Buttstock holds an engraved, smooth metal buttplate. LOP: 13 3/4''. Antique, NO FFL Req. - Value: 300 to 600
