Mauser 98 GEHA Modified SHOTGUN, CAL: 12 GA, MFG: early 1920's, SN:8430, Bolt Action Shotgun, Choke: F. 27 1/2'' barrel. Produced after WW1 from left over military Gew98 rifles for the commercial market. The round pistol grip hardwood stock is good & solid, with the makers medallion GEHA in place on both sides. There are hundreds of small contusions, nicks & dings on the lightly sanded & refinished stock. The metal blue finish on the barrel & receiver has toned to a dark gray/brown patina with surface blemishes throughout. Bore is good, shows age & wear. Barrel holds a single front bead. Buttstock carries a smooth metal buttplate. LOP: 13 1/4''. A fairly rare modification to the Mauser 98 & unusual military collectible. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 200 to 600
