Description

English - Issac Hollis & Sons Model ''Rook'', CAL: .380, SN: 4257, MFG: 1883, 26 7/8'' octagon barrel, Martini Lever Falling Block Single Shot Rifle. One piece checkered, straight grip walnut stock has light handling marks. Fitted with one fixed & two folding leaves. Front sight is small, windage adjustable blade with bead sight. The barrel is turning to a thin brown patina. It has some dings & light rust pitting patches. The receiver & top tang are light brown rust patina. The lever, trigger & lower tang appear to have been nickeled at one time & show rust speckling & wear throughout. Single trigger. Thin metal military style buttplate covered with rust and very little blue showing with shrinkage at toe. Bore is dark with some light pitting lands & grooves are visible. The action & hammer functions correctly. NO FFL ReqGerman Ketner Model ''Stalking Rifle'', CAL: 7.6 mm, SN: None, MFG: 1884, Under Lever break open Single Shot Rifle. 25 7/8'' octagon barrel, with top flat matted. The checkered, two piece walnut stocks with raised cheekpiece are in good shape for age, checkering present still raised, worn with age. 1/2 '' ding at top of buttstock along with multiple scratches/dings contusions, none severe. Rear sight with one fixed & one folding leaf. Front sight is small, windage adjustable blade with bead sight. The barrel is turning to a brown patina with scattered rust speckling throughout. The flats remain sharp with lighter edges. Stampings under the forearm] on bottom flat ''42 - 3 proof marks - 7.6 mm - 6.25 - 284 - 4'' The receiver appears to be oxidized silver with ornate engraving of Red Stag & Roe Deer in ovals & oak/flower scrolling on both sides. The top & bottom tang & underlever appear to have been case hardened with very little color remaining & turning light brown. Nicely functioning double set triggers Rusting thin metal lined buttplate, overhanging slightly at heel & toe. Bore retains some shine with lands & grooves highly visible. The lever/triggers/break open all function well & are tight. This should clean up very nicely & show the receiver scrolling/engraving nicely. Comes with leather sling that is in good condition & fits the factory sling swivels well. NO FFL Req - Value: 500 to 2000
