Argentine Mauser Model Modelo Argentino 1891, CAL: 7.65 X 53, MFG: 1896, SN: E8167, German made bolt action. 30'' barrel. Two piece original walnut stocks w/ original oil finish. Straight grip stock with only a few light scratches/dings throughout both lower & upper handguard w/matching serial number stamped. Military style blued metal butt plate in very good condition some light wear at the heel. Barrel retaining about 90% bluing with some rubbing wear on the exposed portion above handguard. Receiver retains 90% blue, bolt is in the white. Receiver ring has crest ground away, left side of receiver stamped ''MAUSER MODELO ARGENTINO 1891, MANUFACTURA LOEWE BERLIN''. Serial number stamped on right side of receiver. Rear sight is tangent adjustable in elevation with graduating marks from 3 to 20. Front sight is windage adjustable inverted ''V''. Bore is shiny with distinctive rifling showing. The nose cap has a bayonet lug on the bottom for the attachment of the 1891 bayonet. Factory cleaning rod present with matching serial number! Mechanical function is excellent. Matching serial numbers on receiver, barrel, magazine floorplate, stock & bolt. No import stamps on rifle. Another apparently un-issued, cosmoline in the action, well - made weapon! NO FFL Req - Value: 500 to 1000
