Belgian FN Mauser Model ''Sporter''. CAL: 30-06, MFG: 1940's -1970's, SN: 35040, Bolt action rifle, 24'' barrel. Stock is nicely grained light walnut in very good condition with just a few small dings. Metal fit is very good. Markings on side of barrel ahead of receiver: '' FN'' in oval, ''30-06'' & proof marks. ''Made in Belgium'' stamped on barrel. Matching SN's on right side of receiver ring, & barrel. Barrel & other metal parts are in good condition 85% blue remaining, with the magazine plate a little less at 75% with some light scratches. No rear sight is present. Front sight is mounted on large elevated base w/ windage adjustable blade with dot. Bore is very good crisp clear, shiny. Red ventilated rubber buttpad with'' Starnes Sporting Goods, San Pedro Calif.'' imprinted. Overall condition is very good with all parts original & complete. Receiver is drilled and tapped for scope ring bases. Sling swivel studs at forearm and buttstock, ready for sling swivels. FFL Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
