ERFURT Model 88 Carbine, CAL: 7.92 X 57, MFG: 1893, SN: 4629, Bolt Action Rifle, 17 1/4'' round barrel. Full length Walnut Mannlicher pistol gripped stock in good condition with aluminum pistol grip cap, some light scratching & dings. The metal blue finish is 10% barrel & 0% on receiver with mostly grey/brown patina. Thick aluminum checkered buttplate. Rifle is fitted with adjustable ladder rear sight w/ increments from 5 to 12 & additional flip up blade sight, all rear sight parts serial numbered to gun w/29, front sight is blade with brass dot. Bore is dark with some light pitting & lightly defined rifling. Original front sling swivels on front barrel band. Matching serial numbers on barrel, receiver, magazine floorplate, bolt, rear sight & barrel band. Appears to have been drilled and tapped on left side of receiver for scope mount then filled and re-drilled, wood relieved for scope mount also. NO FFL Req. - Value: 300 to 1000
