Japanese Police sword in Wakizashi length blade, measures 30 '' overall in scabbard, blade length is 20 3/4'' Old polish with rust that has been removed leaving some fairly deep pitting. No grain in steel & no hamon visible, typical of this type of sword. Steel saya unpainted, with multiple dings and rust patina overall, one belt hanger. Plain brass habaki tarnishing at the base. Leather seppa. Brass tsuba with no rack numbers or stamps. Tsuka is rayskin with wire wrap & brass over the back. This blade does include the original leather tassle in fair condition & usually not present. These swords were more of a badge of office than a usable blade. - Value: 100 to 400
