US Model 1902 Saber. With black grip, which may come in a variety of materials, is in this case black enameled wood. The manufacturers name is not in the panel near the hilt .
The etching on the sword etched with floral sprays, stands of military trophies, and an eagle at midpoint, clutching a ribbon with the words ''E PLURIBUS UNUM''. The other side is the same, except the eagle is replaced with the ''U.S.'' initials in Gothic script. This sword also features ''H.M.A.-18'' etched along the left side of the blade & on the scabbard between the hangers. The nickel-steel scabbard is in good condition without any dings, just some rust speckling, Blade is in excellent condition without any serious scratches has not been sharpened or filed., etching is sharp and clear. Some light rust along the handgaurd. - Value: 300 to 600
