Prussian M1811 Saber. This is very similar to the British 1796 Light Cavalry Sword; it has a steel stirrup hilt, with an eared back-strap and a leather covered, ribbed wood grip. The blade is a 32'' deeply curved blade, with wide fuller about 2/3 of the length of blade on both sides. it has non- matching regimental markings on the langet and top of the scabbard, metal work toned dark. Blade in fair shape with small dings along edge lots of finish sanding to remove rust, & scattered rust pockets remaining throughout. Scabbard in good condition rust patina throughout, leather wrap in handle contains some flaking. - Value: 200 to 800
