Winchester Model 1885, CAL: 22 WMR, MFG: 1886, SN: 7517, Single Shot Lever Action Falling Block Rifle, 26'' Octagon barrel, barrel is marked ''E.Longo Scranton, PA''. The receiver & lever display custom floral hand engraving. The custom deluxe, checkered, straight grip wood stocks are excellent, with excellent finish & a few minor nicks & dings. One larger contusion within the checkering on right wrist. Fabulous flame pattern grain in the wood. The refinished metal blue finish on barrel rates 60%, 80% on receiver, with the large area of loss on barrel & streaky loss on receiver likely due to chemical exposure. Under the forearm on barrel is lots of cleaned rust pitting. Bore is very good. The barrel carries a Bushnell 4x Banner scope on long slide mount adjusting base, no rear sight & open front sight dovetail. Buttstock carries a crescent metal buttplate.
