Winchester, Model 88, marked 308 WIN., MFG. 1957, SN: 42111, Lever Action Rifle, 21 1/2'' Round barrel, The original checkered & capped pistol grip wood stock is very good, with the original finish thinning from use & a number of small scratches, abrasions & contusions. The original metal blue finish rates 75% overall. Bore is excellent. The rifle carries a scope rail on top of the receiver, while the receiver carries the factory folding rear & ramp front sight without the hood. The plastic buttplate is not original & is a bit ill fitting. Factory sling loops. Original detachable mag. An good original example which would make for a great vintage hunting rifle.
