Marlin Model 1895, CAL 40-65, MFG: 1895, SN: 132789, Lever Action Rifle, 26 1/4'' octagon barrel, full mag. Early first year rifle. The straight grip wood stocks are very good & solid, carrying the original factory finish. They displaying several small nicks & contusions, & the left wrist carries the hand carved name ''HANLY'' in 1'' block letters. The metal finishes have worn, faded & possibly been scrubbed a gun metal grey, with light rust pit speckling & spotting throughout the entirety of the metal surfaces. Bore is excellent. Factory sights. Buttstock carries a smooth crescent metal buttplate. A nice 1st yr example in excellent mechanical shape. * Antique, NO FFL Req - Value: 1500 to 2500
