Marlin Firearms Co. Model 444, CAL: 444 MARLIN, MFG: 1971, SN: 71-151970, Lever Action Rifle, 18.5'' Micro-grooved barrel. The straight grip wood stocks are very good, but the stock has a 2''x2'' piece of wood nicely replaced at the top comb & buttpad. Stock has been touched up at repair to match factory finish & added finish, with a few handling marks. Stock has a whiteline fill/spacer at the wrist against the receiver. The metal blue finish on the barrel has mostly been buffed or worn away silver, with some remaining blue near the receiver. The receiver & mag retain 85% of the original blue with speckling. Bore is very good. Sling studs. Gold trigger. Receiver carries a Ted Williams Sears 4x scope & the barrel has an open rear dovetail & ramp/blade front sight. Left side of receiver has two open holes for a potential receiver sight. Buttstock carries a Pachmayr White-Line ventilated brown rubber recoil pad. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 250 to 500
