Savage Model 1899H Carbine, CAL: 30-30, MFG: 1922, SN: 244257, Lever Action Rifle, 20'' SAVAGE HI-PRESSURE STEEL tapered round barrel. The original straight grip wood stocks are good & solid, but have been lightly sanded & refinished. The stocks have small scratches & contusions, with a very small toe repair. The metal blue finish has worn mostly away & metal is toning gray. Bore is excellent. The rifle is fitted with a replacement adjustable rear sight & a Marbles Sheard front blade sight. Smooth carbine style metal buttplate. Shot counter on receiver. Open holes on top of receiver & tang where a scope & tang sight once resided. Also has open hole in lower belly of stock for sling stud. Receiver has five 1/4'' punch dot initials on the belly which have been partially ground away. Smooth tight action. Should be a great little shooter as a rarer ''H'' carbine model. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 400 to 800
